GUT & GÜNSTIG.

Gut & Günstig is a photographic series which explores the culture of kiosks in northern Germany. Whilst living abroad in Hamburg, I was fascinated by these little shops which are considered a mundane aspect of everyday life for the Germans.

From their tacky LED lights, the wholesome relationships between customers and shop owners, the locals that would always drink outside regardless of the time, and the perfectly organised stock items. By photographing these shops from the eyes of a foreigner, this work aims to reveal the intriguing nature of the regular German kiosk.
